During a residency at Cove Park, we researched and reflected on our interest in the Working Class Movement Library. We interviewed by email a focus group with diverse interests in class, capitalism and political education: Darren Hill, Sophie Hope, Pete Law, Jen Morgan, Nina Pope, Nina Power, Adam Sutherland, Charlie Tims and Rosie Traina.
- What working class means now – the fragmented workforce of the neo-liberal economic climate; how the collection of the Working Class Movement Library defines a historic class struggle.
- The library/archive’s relationship to contemporary culture – the lineage between historical events and current politics; the relationship between arts and activism.
- Living history – how history is told and retold; how archiving produces defines history; how multiple histories co-exist.
